Toronto Stop the Cuts is a network made up of groups of people meeting in different communities across Toronto. These groups, or in some cases, committees are organizing meetings, actions and public events in neighbourhoods across the city. Community groups are made up of whoever wants to participate, so contact a local community group to see when their next meeting is. If, for whatever reason, you can’t be a part of a neighborhood/community group, but have skills to share, write to us.
By organizing in the very same neighborhoods we live and work in, we are building grassroots structures that will be prepared to defend cuts to local services if and when they happen in the months and years to come. Each of these groups is encouraged to make local decisions that address local realities. Joint actions as the network are developed in consultation with all the people meeting in neighborhoods across the city.
